Since starting business in 1989, Thrifty Florist has blossomed under the direction of CEO and Owner, Chris Rea, to include 16 locations throughout metro Detroit and surrounding areas. It is Michigan's largest retail florist and one of the nations leading retailers of flowers and related floral gifts.

Thrifty Florist is a family owned business with it's roots in the metropolitan Detroit area. The first store was started on the Westside of Detroit at the corner of Grand River and Telegraph Road. We started by bringing in flowers by the truckload and selling them at unbeatable prices. We eliminated the middleman and passed the savings on to our customers. When we bypassed the middleman, we found that we were selling fresher flowers than other florists in town; and much to our suprise, our flowers were even fresher than the local wholesalers in town. Customers, to this day, come in and comment about the freshness.

Our stores are customer-focused and customer-friendly. We offer quality products at affordable prices situated in convenient locations at major intersections across the Metro area. Accessibility and convenience are important to Thrifty customers, thats why our stores are open before rush hour until bedtime; even on most major holidays, including Christmas.

Thrifty Florist Delivery Policy A local delivery fee starting at $9.99 and up will be added to each order, for each address. ($12.98 for deliveries outside our local delivery area.) Metro-Detroit Deliveries Same-day deliveres: Orders to be delivered same day must be placed before 11:00 am EST. Sundays: Orders for delivery on Sunday must be placed by Saturday at 3:00pm EST. Christmas Day (December 25th): Deliveries cannot be made on Christmas New Year's Day (January 1st): Deliveries cannot be made on New Year's Day. National Deliveries Same day deliveries: Orders to be delivered same day must be placed before 1:00pm EST. Sundays: Deliveries cannot be made on Sunday. Christmas Day (December 25th): Deliveries cannot be made on Christmas Day. New Year's Day (January 1st): Deliveries cannot be made on New Year's Day.
